Why should I wait?

Why should I wait?

1. It humbles and exalts:

Waiting on God humbles you. It teaches you how to put God first. God has prepared great heights for you to reach, but it begins by learning how to get down on your knees. Simultaneously, when you wait on God, you are exalting Him and acknowledging that He is the Supreme Authority over your life. And when God is exalted, the enemy is defeated.

2. It prepares and positions:

You are not ready for some of the things that God wants to tell you and give you. God has to work on the soil of your heart before He can plant the seed of His promise. Waiting on Him will not only prepare your heart and spirit to hear from Him, but will also position you to receive what He has purposed for you.

3. It reveals and separates:

While you wait on God, you are allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth of what Abba has planned for you. This truth will be deposited in the depths of your spirit, and will enable you to separate yourself from your emotions, desires, plans, experiences and expectations in order for you to make a godly decision.

“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
