Christ and the Crossroad (Matthew 26:39)
There’s no one who understands a crossroad better than Christ, because He was at one in the garden of Gethsemane. He knew what He was sent to do, but He was also aware that it would first bring Him great agony, before it could bring Him great glory.
And so being a man, He prayed what any of us would pray in the face of impending suffering – “Let this cup pass from Me.” But being the Son, He was able to move past fear and say yes to the will of His Father.
You might be at a crossroad today, and like any other human being, you may be scared about what’s ahead of you. But you can still trust God, because you are MORE than just human, you are His seed, and He is MORE than just God, He is your Father.
So at your crossroad, submit to His will without fear and wait on Him with hope; because His will won’t hurt you, it will only promote you!
