CHRIST AND THE CRISIS (Matthew 14)

CHRIST AND THE CRISIS (Matthew 14)

1. (Vs 25) “About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came…”

In Vs 24, when the disciples encountered winds and waves, it was at a time when no one was around to help. But about 3am, Jesus goes to them. Today, ‘3am’ not only signifies a moment in your life when you are alone wrestling with your crisis, but it also marks the time when Jesus comes to you!

2. (Vs 26) “…they saw him walking on water, they were terrified.”

In Vs 18-21, the disciples witnessed how Jesus miraculously fed the 5000. But when He walked on water, they were exposed to a NEW level of the supernatural. Similarly, God may work in ways you are not familiar with, but don’t be afraid. He’s only introducing you to the next move of the miraculous.

3. (Vs 27) “Don’t be afraid…I am here!”

In a time when you are struggling alone, and in a season where you’re unfamiliar with God’s way of working, He reveals Himself to you. God always arrests fear with the reality of His very own Presence, simply because there is nothing that you go through that is greater than Him.
