Hear it from Hagar!
1. The inevitable:
Hagar was a slave to Sarah and so she had to do whatever her mistress commanded her to do (for example, sleep with Abraham). She could not avoid it.
2. The inexcusable:
After she became pregnant, the Bible says that Hagar treated Sarah with contempt. She had no excuse for her behaviour. Remember, how your attitude is after you’ve received something, says a lot about your character.
3. The inconsolable:
Because of her behaviour, Hagar was sent away and left to watch her son die. She was inconsolable. You need to know that actions have consequences – so make decisions prayerfully, not just wisely.
Today, this is what Hagar would say to you: if you are suffering because of a situation you could not avoid (the inevitable), a mistake you should not have made (the inexcusable), or a sorrow that can’t seem to heal (the inconsolable),remember God is still El-Roi; He sees it all. Right when things are dying before your eyes, He will come with a miracle!
