The Anointing and the Attack.

When we talk about anointing and attack, we can segregate believers into two distinct groups. The first group of believers are shocked when they are attacked. They think that just because God anointed them they won’t be attacked by the enemy. And so when the attack comes, they are not able to resist the enemy and they fall. If you are in this group today, then know this – your anointing is not an exemption from attack. In fact, it’s your anointing that makes you a target to the enemy. What makes a thief target a particular house? It’s the wealth inside it. Thieves don’t target ALL houses, they target RICH houses. So don’t be naïve or shocked, but be alert, be aware and be ready with the Word at all times.

The second group of believers are afraid to respond to God’s call because they KNOW that the anointing will attract attack. And so they settle for living a life that just gets them to Heaven instead of leaving a legacy on Earth. If you are in this group today, let me lovingly tell you that the anointing is not something to run away from, but to embrace, because it’s the very thing that will empower you to carry out His plans. Today, decide in your heart to do the will of God, knowing that despite the attack, God’s got your back!
