When things go from bad to worse. [Mark 5:35-43]
1. Ignore the lie:
Vs 35 They told him, “Your daughter is dead. There’s no use troubling the Teacher now.”
When things go from bad to worse, this is the lie you have to ignore : that there’s no use calling on God. Your situation can be at its worst, but that does not mean that it’s too late for Jesus to work a miracle.
2. Arrest the fear:
Vs 36 But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.”
A fear not conquered will destroy you. Jesus arrested fear the moment it tried to take Jairus captive. No matter what you’re going through, don’t let fear dictate the outcome. Choose faith.
3. Choose your company:
Vs 40 “But he made them all leave, and he took the girl’s father and mother and his three disciples into the room…”
The level of your need will determine how much you receive. No one wanted the girl back more than her parents and no one wanted to see God’s power more than the three disciples. And that’s why Jesus let them alone in. When you are desperately in need of a miracle, make sure you only let in people who want your miracle to reach you as much as you want it to and that they are hungry to see the power of God in your life.
