Exiting Egypt to Enter Canaan
“To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn…and brought out Israel from among them…To Him who divided the Red Sea in two…”
Psalm 136:10,11 & 13-15 NKJV
Though we give all our attention to the Red-Sea splitting in two, the real miracle is about how the Israelties were finally able to leave Egypt. And it wasn’t until God killed the firstborn of the Egyptians that Pharaoh finally let the Israelites go. Firstly, know this: even though it may seem like the enemy is relentless in his attacks against you, God knows how to get him to finally stop and let you go. So even if you’re still under some kind of recurring oppression, don’t give up hope. There will be one specific move from God that will mark the end of the enemy’s work and will highlight the beginning of God’s wonderful act of deliverance and blessing.
Secondly, remember this: before God can win your battles, He will first end your slavery. He first brought the Israelites out of Egypt before He could destroy Pharaoh. And the reason is, if you are under attack when you are a slave, you don’t have the power to do anything about it; but if you come under attack when you are free, you have the right to defend yourself and fight back. Today know this : first, God’s plan is to end your slavery and bring you out of your Egypt; and then when Pharaoh comes after you, you have the freedom, power, the right and the access to call on God to fight for you; and He will make a way for you to safely pass through, and the same thing that He used as a miracle for you, will become the end for the enemy.
